#2- People Aren’t Against You, They Are For Themselves
I just rejoined the gym and right away I had to face my old personal demon again.
That reflex where you’re convinced everyone’s watching you, secretly laughing at your form, your reps, your everything.
Before you call me weird, quick question: Have you ever posted something online and then kept refreshing to check for likes?
Yeah. Same situation.
We all do it. We walk around convinced the world is waiting for us to trip over a dumbbell so they can screenshot it then share it with the world.
Newsflash: Most people aren’t even thinking about you.
They’re too busy stressing about their job, their bank account, relationship drama.
So relax. Stop glancing over your shoulder. No one’s coming for you, they’re too busy trying not to get buried by life.
Get this mindset ingrained, because it’s the prerequisite for a life lived instead just survived like:
Accepting that job offer across the country
Getting down on one knee and asking her to marry you
Speaking up when someone’s getting unfairly cancelled
In other words: you start swinging bigger in life.
Stop overthinking. Start moving. Apply for the job. Talk to the girl. Launch the project. Shoot your shot.
And burn this into your brain:
“You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt
